GESTIÓN DE LA PRODUCCIÓN: FUNDAMENTOS TEÓRICOS, DESAFÍOS CONTEMPORÁNEOS Y PERSPECTIVAS ESTRATÉGICAS PARA LA EFICIENCIA ORGANIZACIONAL

Resumen

El estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar la gestión de la producción desde una perspectiva teórica y crítica, enfatizando su evolución histórica, fundamentos clásicos, desafíos contemporáneos y perspectivas estratégicas para la eficiencia organizacional. La investigación, de naturaleza cualitativa y carácter exploratorio-descriptivo, se desarrolló mediante una revisión bibliográfica integradora, que incluyó autores clásicos y contemporáneos, artículos indexados e informes técnicos. El análisis consistió en una comparación crítica entre diferentes modelos y teorías, identificando sus convergencias, limitaciones e implicaciones prácticas. Los hallazgos indican que metodologías tradicionales como el taylorismo, el fordismo y la producción en masa aún ofrecen bases conceptuales, pero deben reinterpretarse ante las demandas actuales. Enfoques como Seis Sigma, Producción Lean, Ágil y la personalización en gran escala, apoyados por tecnologías de la Industria 4.0, resultan esenciales para responder a los desafíos de digitalización, sostenibilidad, globalización y resiliencia operativa. Se concluye que la gestión de la producción contemporánea requiere un enfoque integrado, adaptativo y sistémico, capaz de articular calidad, innovación, sostenibilidad y orientación al cliente. La competitividad de las organizaciones dependerá de su capacidad para transformar estos fundamentos en prácticas estratégicas alineadas con las demandas del siglo XXI.
