In the context of socio-emotional education, it is essential to provide children with the development of skills and competencies that foster moral, social, and personal growth. Educational initiatives that strengthen students' autonomy are fundamental for ethical formation. This research addresses the following question: How can narratives and themes in children's literature be used to develop socio-emotional skills in early childhood education? To answer this, the general objective is outlined as follows: to analyze how children's literature can contribute to the promotion of socio-emotional competence development in early childhood education. The specific objectives are: (1) to understand the concepts of socio-emotional education and its importance for child development; (2) to implement and evaluate a pedagogical intervention based on children's literature. This is a qualitative study, emphasizing action research methodology, based on the implementation of workshops that address essential competencies for child development.
