This article investigates the use of ChatGPT in the development of an HTML calculator to automate the counting of times in orienteering races at the Internal Physical Education Games (JIEF) of the Federal University of Alagoas (Ufal). The modality, which integrates physical activity and strategy, faces logistical challenges in the manual calculation of results, generating slowness and risk of error. The main objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of ChatGPT in the creation of this artifact, aiming to optimize processes and promote transparency. The experiential methodology describes the step-by-step construction of the calculator for counting the test time. The results demonstrated that the calculator helped in the test calculation time, reducing the possibility of errors and organizing data in a classification table. The experience reinforced the potential of ChatGPT as an interdisciplinary educational artifact, but also revealed weaknesses, such as dependence on the quality of prompts and limitations in scenarios with precarious digital infrastructure. It is concluded that the integration of AI and Physical Education promotes efficiency and equity in academic events, in addition to fostering interdisciplinary technical skills, aligning with new possibilities in education. The research contributes to debates on technological democratization and pedagogical practices that use digital technologies, highlighting the need for articulation between different areas.
