Abstract

The present study aims to map academic production that discusses “aesthetics” and “cultural manifestation” in the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD) of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), comprising some assumptions present in this study theme. The study is qualitative in nature, based on a systematic review of the literature, using Content Analysis as the data analysis methodology. Using the BDTD as a database, based on the key search terms “aesthetics” and “cultural manifestation,” a total of nine studies were mapped, covering the period from 2019 to 2024. The results show that the studies present a diversity of cultural manifestations and aesthetic expressions, such as samba, funk, traditional peoples, art, among others, highlighting the relevance of valuing diverse cultures and identities in order to strengthen the knowledge and experiences of these groups.
