Dance, as an artistic bodily practice, has been recognized as a relevant resource in the construction of a healthy body and in the promotion of emotional well-being, as it integrates physical, emotional, and social dimensions of human experience. This study aims to analyze the contributions of dance and body art to the construction of a healthy body, with emphasis on their impacts on emotional well-being as evidenced in the scientific literature. The research is characterized as a qualitative bibliographic review, based on the analysis of academic productions that address dance as a practice that promotes integral health. The results indicate that dance fosters body awareness, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and social interaction, establishing itself as a practice capable of enhancing the perception of quality of life in different sociocultural contexts. The discussion highlights that the aesthetic experience of movement contributes to psychosomatic integration and to the re-signification of the individual’s relationship with their own body, strengthening care trajectories grounded in the appreciation of corporeality. It is concluded that dance represents a powerful practice in promoting emotional well-being and integral health, reinforcing the need for interdisciplinary approaches that recognize the body as a central element of human experience.
