READING AND WRITING CHALLENGES AND POSSIBILITIES IN THE EARLY YEARS OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: A STUDY CASE IN THE GROUP I, AT THE SCHOOL DJANIRA NEVES DE LIMA

Abstract

This article aims to reflect on the reading and writing challenges and possibilities in Group I, in the early years of the Elementary School, at the school Djanira Neves de Lima. Considering some important and relevant factors in the approach used on this research context, this paper had as a general objective to encourage reading and writing so that children can understand, interpret, develop and communicate without difficulty, providing the possibility of new paths in the teaching-learning process. The topics in question are organized into five sections, in the following order: 1 – Initial Considerations; 2 – The Concepts of reading and its importance; 3 – The role of reading and writing in the early years of Elementary School; 4 – The role of the family in the teaching-learning process; 5 – Pedagogical practice in the face of reading learning. The methodology applied to this research was bibliographical and case study, using techniques such as field research and direct observation.
