Abstract

This article deals with culture in organizations, specifically the culture implemented on the factory floor. Although the company has designed its theory of organizational culture, the largest group of the population of an assembly plant lives in an environment that may seem disconnected from the theory. The research seeks to identify, through situational analysis, the main characteristics of the culture experienced in the environment. Then, using behavioral economics, choice architecture techniques can bring people on the factory floor closer to the culture disseminated in the company's human resources management. The methodology used involved research in books and articles on the subject, as well as field research involving factory assembly workers who work in the automobile production sector in São José dos Campos. The field research was conducted through interviews, consisting of five questions, during the period from May 27 to 31, 2024, obtaining 100 valid responses. The results of the field research showed that the best practical definition for everyday work at this company is teamwork, with a greater degree of importance placed on inclusion and opportunity for people, taking into account the influence of a true leader.
