THE IMPORTANCE OF CONTINUOUS TRAINING FOR SECURITY PROFESSIONALS

Abstract

This article analyzes the importance of continuous training for private security professionals, highlighting permanent education as an essential element for operational efficiency, professional appreciation, and institutional strengthening. The qualitative research, based on a bibliographic review, shows that constant updating contributes to improving performance, reducing incidents, and enhancing preventive practices. The study found that the use of active methodologies, the integration of educational technologies, and the inclusion of ethics and human rights content are decisive factors for consolidating a technically and socially responsible practice. Continuous education, when structured strategically and systematically, enables the development of technical and emotional competencies that are indispensable for professional performance, reinforcing the security officer’s role as a protection and mediation agent in complex contexts. It is concluded that investment in permanent training is essential for building an organizational learning culture, ensuring excellence and credibility in private security services in Brazil.
