Resumo

A saúde mental e o comportamento humano resultam de etiologia multifatorial,  influenciados por experiências individuais e pela interação entre fatores genéticos e ambientais. Estudos indicam que essa interação desempenha um papel significativo no risco de transtornos como ansiedade, depressão e transtorno obsessivo-compulsivo. A variabilidade genética pode aumentar a vulnerabilidade individual às influências ambientais, ressaltando a importância de pesquisas que ampliem a compreensão sobre esses transtornos mentais e forneçam subsídios para estratégias de saúde pública. Portanto, o conhecimento científico, aliado a abordagens multiprofissionais, é essencial para promover o bem-estar de forma personalizada e eficaz. Assim, foi realizada uma revisão integrativa da literatura, com análise crítica dos estudos selecionados, visando aprofundar a compreensão do tema e destacar a influência dos fatores genéticos na saúde mental, para compreender como a expressão gênica pode impactar o comportamento humano, evidenciando a importância da interação entre fatores genéticos e ambientais na determinação dos aspectos comportamentais.O presente estudo contribuiu para identificação de genes associados ao comportamento e a saúde mental. Foram analisadas evidências que aprofundaram a compreensão do tema, apresentando genes e fenótipos, com as devidas alterações, como o exemplo dos genes DRD4, MAOA e CSMD1 associados com o funcionamento cognitivo e comportamental.
