THE IMPACT OF ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGIES ON THE LEARNING PROCESS OF STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES

This article investigates the impact of Assistive Technologies (TAS) on the learning process of students with disabilities, with the objective of analyzing how these resources contribute to educational inclusion, promoting autonomy, accessibility and equity in the school environment. Based on theoretical references such as Assumption and Bastos (2025), Vigotski (1991), Mantoan (2003), Fonseca (2002), Bersch (2005, 2017), Manzini (2005), Moran (2018), Quadros and Karnopp (2004), Rose and Meyer (2002), Perrenoud (2000) and Sassaki (1997) It points out that assistive technologies play an essential mediator role in the cognitive development, communication and social participation of students. The study concludes that, despite the obstacles, assistive technologies are fundamental for the construction of an inclusive education, enabling students with disabilities to have equal opportunities and develop their skills full.
