PROPIEDADES PSICOMÉTRICAS DE LA ESCALA DE INTELIGENCIA EMOCIONAL: UNA REVISIÓN SISTEMÁTICA

Resumen

El presente estudio es una revisión sistemática cuyo objetivo fue analizar las propiedades psicométricas de la Escala de Inteligencia Emocional de Wong y Law (WLEIS). La escala fue producida en China y ha sido utilizada en algunos países, sin embargo la pregunta que se plantea aquí es cuántos estudios analizaron realmente las propiedades psicométricas y cuáles fueron los resultados obtenidos por estos estudios. Esta escala entiende la inteligencia emocional como un conjunto de habilidades que están relacionadas entre sí. La escala tiene 16 ítems y está compuesta por 4 dimensiones: autoevaluación emocional, evaluación emocional de los demás, regulación de las emociones y uso de la emoción. El estudio fue registrado en el Registro Prospectivo Internacional de Revisiones Sistemáticas. Las búsquedas se realizaron en las bases de datos APA PsycInfo, SCOPUS, Web of Science, PubMed/MEDLINE y LILACS. La selección de artículos, extracción de datos y evaluación fueron realizadas de forma independiente por los autores, utilizando software como EndNote y Excel para controlar la duplicación y organizar la información. Se encontraron 389 artículos, de los cuales se seleccionaron 18 para formar la revisión sistemática. Se utilizó el instrumento ROBUST para analizar el riesgo de sesgo. La investigación se centró en el análisis factorial confirmatorio y los resultados confirmaron el modelo de cuatro factores de la escala original, destacando su excelente evidencia de validez y confiabilidad. Los estudios que se centraron en analizar la invarianza presentaron buenos resultados en sus contextos apropiados. Los estudios que analizaron la invarianza respecto del sexo de los individuos mostraron diferencias en las puntuaciones.
