This scientific article aims, through a bibliographic review method, to present twenty-first-century refugees’ perspectives on the characterization of necropolitics and the figure of Homo Sacer, validating the marginalized status that the State—and society itself—assigns to them. In this sense, since the article discusses the application of so-called biopower to human beings and nature, it will consequently examine the relations between “bare life,” zoe, and the selective biopolitics of contemporary society.
