Abstract

This research aimed to analyze, through an integrative literature review, the influence of multiprofessionality in university extension and its contribution to the training of humanized physicians. The reviewed studies demonstrate that early contact with professionals from different areas of health stimulates skills such as empathy, communication, ethics, and teamwork in students. University extension, by articulating teaching, service and community, favors integrated practices that break with the medical-centered model and bring training closer to the principles of the Unified Health System. Technologies such as artificial intelligence, clinical simulations, and digital health strengthen this training process when mediated by interprofessional teams. The analysis of the works reinforces that multiprofessionality in extension is capable of transforming the way future physicians understand and practice care. It is concluded that consolidating this approach is essential to train professionals who are more sensitive, critical and prepared for the contemporary challenges of public health.
