THE CHILD AND YOUTH PROTECTION SYSTEM IN THE ADOPTION SYSTEM: AN ANALYSIS OF HOW THE ADOPTION PROCESS WORKS IN ALAGOAS

Abstract

Humanity has always behaved and shown itself in an agglomerated manner, in view of man's need to live in community. It is psychologically difficult for human beings to live a segregated life, without sharing, without exchanges. And from this gathering of people, families began to form. The work proposed to demonstrate the fundamental rights guaranteed by the Federal Constitution and by the Statute of Children and Adolescents (ECA) regarding children and adolescents in institutional care. This is a study that adopted a predominantly exploratory-descriptive perspective regarding the level of depth, as it used bibliographical research, where the following descriptors were sought: adoption, reception, rights and duties of children and adolescents, socio-familial matrix as a filter for the used bibliography of the last 8 years. Furthermore, the findings of this study enabled an understanding of the adoption process based on the analysis of those involved in this process: State, society, and family. It is proposed that a survey be carried out in a shelter in the city of Maceió so that the way in which such shelter works the reception and adoption process can be explained, based on its physical structure and personnel conditions that carry out such processes. In this way, you can later compare it with the other shelters in the city to better understand whether the methodology adopted is egalitarian in these spaces, since families are linked to human rights and the promotion of the dignity of the person of its members in the face of the pluralism of family entities, acquiring instrumental function.
