Abstract

A need to deepen understanding of anti-racism, highlighting research into historical injustices in government institutions, public universities and social movements as a way to question and support entrenched inequalities. Therefore, the objective of this work is to identify and evaluate the evolution of public policies related to mitigating racial inequality in Brazil. To this end, we used an integrative literature review as a methodology with a proposal to produce a scientific article on the topic: racial inequality in Brazil. It is concluded that it is important to include pedagogical and educational mechanisms, which can make individuals potentially beneficiaries of racial quotas effectively recognize themselves as subjects of rights under such public policy, thus accessing the rights reserved in the most diverse public matters.
