This article in Environmental Education investigates, through an experience report, how 5th grade students from the municipal school system of Boa Vista, Roraima, can explore and understand the fauna, flora and biodiversity of their capital. Having as its main scenario the "Bosque dos Papagaios", this study seeks to intensify environmental awareness and knowledge about local natural resources. By investigating how students can deepen their understanding of biodiversity in Roraima, the research proposes to answer: "How can students learn about the fauna, flora and biodiversity of the capital of Boa Vista, state of Roraima?". The field activities carried out in the park offer a unique opportunity for hands-on learning, stimulating children's interest in the local environment while promoting conservation and preservation and reinforcing the importance of environmental education in the school curriculum.
