CONSTRUCTION OF A PROTOTYPE OF A DIGITAL CARE PROTOCOL FOR NUTRITIONAL ASSESSMENT OF ONCOGERIATRIC PATIENTS

Cancer represents a significant public health problem, especially among elderly patients, who exhibit greater nutritional vulnerability due to metabolic changes associated with aging and cancer treatment (Bray, 2018). This study aims to develop a prototype digital nutritional assessment protocol for oncogeriatric patients, integrating anthropometric parameters, nutritional screening tools, and sarcopenia risk assessment. To this end, a technological and descriptive study was conducted through a literature review, structuring of assessment domains, development of the digital platform using Google Apps Script, and internal testing with fictitious data. The protocol incorporated anthropometric indicators, automated calculations, and nutritional screening tools. The system demonstrated adequate functioning, consistency in automated calculations, and potential applicability in nutritional care for oncogeriatric patients. It is concluded that the developed digital protocol can contribute to greater organization, standardization, and agility in clinical nutritional practice in oncology, and future studies are necessary for clinical validation of the tool.
