Congenital heart diseases represent an important public health issue, especially in the pediatric population, as they may compromise growth, development, and nutritional status, particularly in cases of cyanotic congenital heart disease. Therefore, this study aimed to perform an integrative literature review on the nutritional status of children with cyanotic congenital heart disease, identifying the main nutritional assessment methods, as well as findings related to clinical repercussions and feeding difficulties. This is an integrative review study, in which searches were conducted in the PubMed Central Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), and Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (LILACS) databases, using controlled descriptors combined with Boolean operators. Original articles published between 2020 and 2025, in Portuguese and English, addressing the pediatric population with cyanotic congenital heart disease were included. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 12 studies composed the final sample. The results demonstrated a higher prevalence of malnutrition and impaired growth in children with cyanotic congenital heart disease compared to those with acyanotic forms. Anthropometry, associated with the World Health Organization growth curves, was identified as the main nutritional assessment method, while dietary intake assessment tools were less frequently explored. It is concluded that children with cyanotic congenital heart disease constitute a nutritionally vulnerable group, highlighting the importance of early nutritional assessment and follow-up to improve clinical prognosis.
