This article presents a critical reflection and a practical architectural proposal on the role of smart coworking spaces as catalysts of urban transformation. Within the context of emerging remote and decentralized work models, the study explores how architecture can respond to these new dynamics through collaborative, adaptive, and sustainable environments, aligned with the principles of smart cities. The methodology combines theoretical research with the development of an architectural proposal for a neighborhood coworking space in Belo Horizonte (Brazil), designed through the requalification of an underused urban lot. The project emphasizes modularity, environmental comfort, and the application of artificial intelligence both in space management and design processes. The results reveal that smart coworkings can promote social innovation, territorial regeneration, and urban equity by reconnecting work, housing, and community life.
