Abstract

This study addressed the transformation of the teacher's role in contemporary educational trends, focusing on the impact of digital technologies. The central problem was to investigate how new technologies have changed teaching functions in relation to digital content curation. The overall objective was to analyze changes in the role of the educator and the skills required to deal with technologies in the educational environment. The methodology adopted was bibliographic research, using works that discuss the use of digital technologies in teaching, such as e-learning and Business Intelligence (BI) systems. The development of the work dealt with the evolution of the role of teachers, highlighting the need to adapt to the use of digital tools and the importance of continuous training for the effective integration of technologies. It was found that educators are now seen as content curators, having to select, organize, and mediate knowledge, adapting it to the needs of students. The final considerations pointed out that digital technologies, by impacting the role of teachers, require constant training, in addition to institutional support for the implementation of these tools. It was also identified that further studies are needed to explore the effectiveness of teacher training and the adaptation of educational models to different contexts.
