The internationalization of assets has become an essential strategy for high-net-worth individuals seeking to preserve and expand their wealth in an increasingly competitive global environment. This study investigated the risks and opportunities involved in this process, highlighting that factors such as exchange rate volatility, regulatory instability, international oversight, and tax complexity represent challenges that demand structured planning and specialized support. On the other hand, significant opportunities were identified, including geographic diversification, access to strong currencies, insertion into consolidated and emerging global markets, as well as advantages related to succession and tax planning. The research also emphasized the central role of financial institutions, particularly in private banking, responsible for developing exclusive products, personalized consultancy, and access to international networks, elements that transform vulnerabilities into strategies for protection and growth. Moreover, the study revealed the relevance of technological innovation, which facilitated access to global platforms but simultaneously intensified operational and cybersecurity risks, reinforcing the need for strong governance. The findings conclude that asset internationalization, when conducted with technical expertise and strategic vision, not only mitigates risks but also enhances opportunities, making it a key practice for long-term wealth perpetuation.
