IMPACTO DO TRATAMENTO CIRÚRGICO RECONSTRUTIVO EM PACIENTES QUEIMADOS: INTERSECÇÃO ENTRE RECUPERAÇÃO FUNCIONAL E SAÚDE MENTAL

As queimaduras representam um importante problema de saúde pública global, com elevado impacto clínico, funcional e psicológico. O tratamento cirúrgico reconstrutivo é essencial para restaurar a integridade anatômica e funcional, especialmente em casos de lesões profundas ou extensas. No entanto, as repercussões das queimaduras ultrapassam a esfera física, afetando de modo significativo a autoimagem, a autoestima e a reintegração social dos pacientes. Este estudo realizou uma revisão narrativa da literatura com o objetivo de analisar a relação entre os desfechos cirúrgicos reconstrutivos e a saúde mental de pacientes queimados, identificando de que forma o resultado estético-funcional influencia o bem-estar psicológico. Observou-se que os pacientes que obtêm bons resultados reconstrutivos relatam níveis reduzidos de depressão e ansiedade, além de maior satisfação pessoal e social. Em contrapartida, cicatrizes extensas e múltiplos procedimentos cirúrgicos estão associados a maior prevalência de transtorno de estresse pós-traumático (TEPT) e isolamento social. Conclui-se que a reabilitação do paciente queimado deve ser conduzida de forma multidisciplinar, integrando cirurgia plástica, fisioterapia, psiquiatria e psicologia, a fim de promover uma recuperação verdadeiramente integral, que contemple corpo, mente e inserção social.
