Abstract

Ericksonian Coaching has been consolidating itself as a human development approach that integrates self-knowledge, belief reorganization, and empowerment in personal and professional contexts. This study aimed to analyze the application of Ericksonian principles in coaching sessions, exploring the contribution of metaphors, trance, and the wheel of the twelve dimensions of consciousness to promoting cognitive and behavioral change. The methodology adopted was exploratory and qualitative, based on documentary analysis of a guided study guide produced during Ericksonian Coaching training, which described meetings, proposed tasks, and coachee perceptions. The results showed evidence of consistent learning, a positive impact of using films and metaphors as reflection resources, increased emotional clarity, and the restructuring of limiting beliefs. It was also found that the practice favored progress indicators such as personal security, self-confidence, and the development of new relational perspectives. It is concluded that Ericksonian Coaching is relevant to applied psychology and professional practice, offering consistent tools for transformation and expanding the understanding of self-knowledge, recommending continued studies with application in groups and expanded scientific validation.
