Abstract

This study addresses the use of Instagram as a teaching tool in Digital Marketing, given the growing influence of social networks in everyday life and educational practices. The general objective is to understand how Instagram can be used as a pedagogical resource in the teaching-learning process, with a focus on developing practical and critical skills among students in the area. The methodology adopted was a qualitative research of the bibliographic review type, based on the procedures described by Sousa, Oliveira and Alves (2021), with an analysis of academic works that discuss the use of Instagram in educational contexts. The results were materialized from the studies of Sousa, Caetano and Afonso (2023), Teixeira, Santos and Pereira (2017), Santos and Rudnik (2022), Silva and Sousa Junior (2023), Maia et al. (2018) and Morais and Brito (2020), and indicate that Instagram, when used with pedagogical intention, contributes to student engagement, active learning, and approximation to professional practices. It is concluded that Instagram can be a powerful tool for teaching digital marketing, as long as it is used with clear objectives, qualified teaching mediation, and integration with active methodologies. It is also recommended that future research be carried out to explore practical applications of the tool in the classroom.
