GAMIFICATION IN LEARNING: CHALLENGES AND POSSIBILITIES IN THE EDUCATIONAL CONTEXT

The present study aimed to analyze the challenges and possibilities of using gamification in the learning process in the educational context. To this end, a descriptive research was conducted with a qualitative approach, using a sample of 20 education professionals, including elementary and high school teachers, pedagogical coordinators and school administrators. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews, with discourse analysis based on the content analysis technique. The results showed that gamification has the potential to increase student engagement, motivation and performance, although it still faces resistance related to teacher training, structural limitations and traditional teaching concepts. The research concludes that, despite the challenges, gamification represents a promising strategy to make the teaching-learning process more meaningful and dynamic, as long as it is applied with pedagogical intentionality and accompanied by policies to support educational innovation.
