THE ROLE OF THE FAMILY IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION: A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE SCHOOL

Abstract

This article addresses the relevance of the family's role in early childhood education: a partnership with the school to strengthen the child's teaching and learning. The objective is to strengthen the partnership between school and family by encouraging the child's daily attendance at school and monitoring the activities assigned by the teacher. The research problem is: How can the partnership between family and school promote the strengthening of teaching and learning? To answer this question, the hypothesis that family participation in early childhood education makes a difference in several aspects was confirmed as relevant. The research was a literature review. The authors who provided the theoretical support with a qualitative approach were ANGOTTI (2014); BRASIL (1996); CASTRO (2009); DIAS (2005); FARIAS (2022) and SANTO (1997). The study addressed the problem in an emblematic way, finding that the partnership between family and school is essential for the child/student's achievement in various aspects of their education. It not only enriches the learning environment but also contributes to the cognitive, social, and emotional development of children, creating a solid foundation for their future learning journey.
