COMPLICACIONES DE LA NECROSIS DEL TEJIDO CUTÁNEO RELACIONADAS CON EL USO DE ÁCIDO HIALURÓNICO CON FINES ESTÉTICOS Y SU TRATAMIENTO: UNA REVISIÓN DE LA LITERATURA

Los rellenos de ácido hialurónico (AH) son una técnica estética común, pero pueden provocar complicaciones graves, como la necrosis cutánea. Esta afección se produce principalmente cuando los vasos sanguíneos se comprimen u ocluyen por el ácido hialurónico, lo que resulta en la muerte del tejido tratado. Para esta revisión, se seleccionaron artículos indexados en las bases de datos PubMed, SciELO y Google Scholar, publicados entre 2003 y 2026, en portugués e inglés. Estos artículos abordan el uso estético del AH, sus posibles complicaciones y el manejo terapéutico de estas afecciones. La enzima hialuronidasa se utiliza en el tratamiento de estas complicaciones, ya que degrada el ácido hialurónico, favoreciendo el restablecimiento del flujo sanguíneo en los vasos obstruidos. Es fundamental que los profesionales estén capacitados en su uso y conozcan los riesgos que conlleva. Una evaluación adecuada del paciente y la adopción de medidas preventivas son esenciales para reducir la incidencia de complicaciones. La necrosis cutánea es una de las manifestaciones más graves, aunque tratable, y la hialuronidasa ha demostrado ser eficaz en su tratamiento.
