A IMPORTÂNCIA DAS VISITAS DOMICILIARES NA ESTRATÉGIA SAÚDE DA FAMÍLIA: UM REFERENCIAL TEÓRICO (2020–2025)

Abstract

The Family Health Strategy (FHS) is the main organizational model for Primary Health Care in Brazil, guiding actions aimed at health promotion, prevention, and recovery. In this context, home visits constitute a fundamental practice for the effective implementation of the principles of the Unified Health System (SUS), especially comprehensiveness, equity, and humanization. This article aims to analyze, based on recent scientific literature (2020–2025), the importance of home visits in the FHS. This is a theoretical study based on a literature review. The results show that home visits strengthen the bond between professionals and users, enable the identification of social determinants of health, and contribute to the improvement of health indicators. It is concluded that this practice is essential for the quality of care and for the consolidation of Primary Health Care in Brazil.
