The article addresses the relevance of the 1988 Constitution in education and the importance of promoting critical, political and historical teaching. The central role of education in the construction of citizenship and in the consolidation of democracy is emphasized. The discussion includes the need to incorporate a wide range of topics into the school curriculum, involving physical, social, professional and ethical aspects. Valuing individuals and their knowledge, encouraging the exchange of knowledge, and strengthening a commitment to a more just, democratic, and inclusive society are highlighted as essential for building a humanized society.
