Abstract

Academic tutoring represents an important strategy to support higher education, especially in engineering courses, where the content is highly complex and demands great dedication from students. Working in conjunction with theory and practice, tutoring allows for the deepening of technical knowledge and the development of pedagogical, collaborative, and communicative skills. Through in-person and remote support, workshops, and practical activities, the tutor assists in overcoming difficulties and stimulates active learning. In addition to improving student performance, this experience contributes to the comprehensive education of the undergraduate, allowing them to understand the role of the teacher and the challenges of the educational process. Thus, tutoring is consolidated as an essential instrument in improving the quality of teaching and learning.
