In Brazil, Afro-diasporic religions have been targets of persecution since their inception, with the media being used as the main instrument of oppression. This article aims to understand how Tambor de Mina acts in cyberspace to resist religious racism in our society. We therefore limited our analysis to videos posted by followers of Tambor de Mina on one of the world's most accessed platforms: YouTube. To achieve our goal, we employed netnography, using participant observation and computer-mediated interactions as sources of information. The authors who support this approach are: Fanon (2022), who discusses dehumanization and the struggle against oppression, and Santos (2023), who proposes a "counter-colonization."
