THE APPLICABILITY OF DICA IN THE FALKLANDS WAR

The work was developed within the theme of International Humanitarian Law (IHL). The research was based on several renowned authors and articles from electronic media. The objective of the article is to present, within the current context, the applicability of the Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC) in cases of suspected use of force and abuses by England. The defi-nitions of human dignity were briefly addressed, based on the growing protection of the hu-man person over the years, the historical evolution of international humanitarian law, and the law of armed conflict. The origin of this war was explained, along with its relation to Interna-tional Humanitarian Law and LOAC. IHL/LOAC was linked to the emergence of violations and abuses, with a particemphasis on the Falklands War.
