Abstract

The present research has as its object of study teenage pregnancy and the role of nursing professionals in monitoring pregnant adolescents. The guiding question is to understand what is the role of nursing in monitoring teenage pregnancy and the impacts of this pregnancy on the lives of adolescents and their families. The general objective is to analyze the role of nurses during early pregnancy, discuss the impacts of pregnancy on the lives of pregnant women and their families, as well as understand their experiences during and after the gestational period. The research is characterized by a qualitative approach, being carried out through bibliographic research. The bibliographic data will be obtained from books, scientific articles, dissertations, theses and online databases. The results point to the effective performance of nursing professionals, highlighting the challenges related to awareness and community mobilization in view of the complexity of the problem, as well as the implementation of actions appropriate to the social context of pregnant adolescents.
