INNOVATION IN EVENT FINANCIAL OPERATIONS: TRANSPARENCY AND EFFICIENCY IN MANAGEMENT THROUGH DIGITAL SOLUTIONS

Abstract

This article systematically analyzes how digital solutions are transforming financial management in the event industry, a sector traditionally marked by high complexity, seasonality, and multiple stakeholders. The study has three main objectives: (i) to map the main technologies applied to financial operations in events, with emphasis on fintechs, blockchain, and artificial intelligence; (ii) to quantify measurable gains in processing time, operational costs, and reporting accuracy; and (iii) to identify barriers and propose best practices for managers in the field. The methodology combines a literature review, analysis of market reports, and case studies of hybrid events held in Brazil in 2024, in addition to collecting quantitative indicators that allow comparisons between manual and digital scenarios. The results reveal consistent trends: Contec (2025) reports a 340% growth in the number of fintechs in Latin America between 2017 and 2023; events that implemented digital technologies achieved a 25% reduction in average financial closing time; and recorded a 30% increase in reporting accuracy after adopting blockchain and artificial intelligence. These findings demonstrate that digitalization is not merely a tool for efficiency but a strategic factor for transparency, traceability, and financial governance. The study concludes that the adoption of digital solutions emerges as both a competitive advantage and a requirement for the financial sustainability of the event industry.
