THE ROLE OF THE AESTHETICS PROFESSIONAL IN BUILDING FEMALE SELF-ESTEEM

This article aimed to analyze the role of the aesthetics professional in building female self-esteem, considering the psychological, social, and cultural aspects involved in this relationship. The study was developed through a bibliographic review based on recent Brazilian scientific publications, emphasizing aesthetics as a practice of comprehensive care and a promoter of well-being. The analysis showed that the work of the esthetician transcends technical aspects, assuming a therapeutic and educational nature capable of influencing self-perception and strengthening women's self-confidence. It was observed that aesthetic treatments, when conducted ethically and humanely, promote positive self-image, emotional balance, and self-acceptance, becoming instruments of empowerment and symbolic reconstruction. Modern aesthetics, by integrating science, sensitivity, and ethics, is consolidated as a field that promotes emotional health and values female individuality. It is concluded that the aesthetics professional plays a fundamental role in promoting self-esteem, contributing to the development of a healthier, more confident, and authentic body awareness, reaffirming aesthetics as a practice of human transformation and personal identity strengthening.
