Abstract

This article investigates corporate diversification as a strategy for sustainable growth in Brazil, focusing on the integration of governance, socio-environmental responsibility, and innovation principles. The research was conducted through a qualitative and descriptive approach, based on a literature review of recent studies on diversification practices and ESG criteria adopted by companies of different sizes and sectors. The findings show that diversification, when strategically planned and aligned with organizational culture and management, can significantly contribute to financial stability, institutional reputation, and the generation of social and environmental value. The analysis also revealed that solid governance structures and coherence between purpose and practice are key factors for the success of sustainable diversification. It is concluded that responsible growth through diversification depends on the company’s ability to link expansion with ethical commitment and a long-term vision.
