ETFS AND THE EXPANSION OF INVESTMENT FRONTIERS FOR BRAZILIAN INVESTORS

This article analyzed the expansion of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) in Brazil, highlighting their characteristics, advantages, and implications for Brazilian investors. The study showed that these instruments play a fundamental role in democratizing access to the capital market, offering greater transparency, diversification, and liquidity. The research, of bibliographic and documentary character, evidenced that ETFs operate as a strategic alternative both for beginners and institutional investors, promoting financial inclusion and encouraging more sophisticated portfolio planning practices. It was found that regulatory evolution, the strengthening of digital platforms, and the growing integration with global markets were determining factors for the consolidation of ETFs in the country. Furthermore, it was verified that these funds have contributed to financial education and to Brazil’s insertion into global trends such as sustainable investments and ESG strategies. It is concluded that ETFs are not only an investment option but also a structural transformation vector of the Brazilian capital market, expanding investment frontiers and strengthening national competitiveness.
