RETREATMENT OF THE UPPER LATERAL INCISOR WITH OBTURATION BELOW THE ADEQUATE LIMIT – CASE REPORT

A 23-year-old patient was referred to an endodontist's office for retreatment of the upper lateral incisor. Radiographic examination demonstrated inadequate obturation (under-obturation). The obturation material was removed with a Prodesgn RT rotary system, and re-preparation was performed with Solla Collors 50/04 rotary files. Foraminal patency was achieved with a Solla Collors 16/02 Glidepath file at the apical foramen. Obturation was performed using the single cone technique associated with Bio-C Sealer cement. It is concluded that endodontic retreatment is facilitated by the use of rotary systems.
