This paper presents the development of a computer program written in C# for the analysis of phenomena associated with Electrical Power Systems. The program, called SimulSEP, facilitates the modeling of electrical networks through a workspace that allows the insertion of components, their interconnection, and the editing of their parameters. The current version of the program allows for short-circuit simulations based on the Phase Component and Symmetric Component methods. The paper presents the results of simulations performed on a 14-bus Electrical Power Distribution System. To validate the method, algorithms, and program, the system was designed and simulated using professional programs that are highly regarded in academia and companies in the electrical sector, in this case ATPDraw and ATP. The differences observed between the ATP and SimulSEP results are less than 0.1% when using the Phase Component Method. The program will enable complementary studies, such as those related to voltage dips, including the creation of related contour maps, serving as a teaching tool and supporting research in Power Quality.
