Abstract

This research describes the important processes in wound healing using laser therapy. Objective: To analyze the processes applied to wound healing using laser therapy. Method: The study was based on research in databases of scientific productions available in the SciELO Org virtual environment and some books, from 2013 to 2023. Thus, it emphasizes the methods used for wound healing using lasers. The data were obtained qualitatively through descriptive analysis. Initially, a pre-analysis was performed, selecting research on humans, which consisted of choosing 17 articles that addressed the research topic. Discussion: The reviewed articles sought to identify a scientific profile, organized by first author, year, journal published, subject developed, and conclusion and results found. Conclusion: This study demonstrated the possibility of accelerating the healing process with lasers. Tissue recovery depends on several factors, including the affected body region and even the physiological nature of each individual. He realized that the dynamics of the wound healing process can be influenced by the best treatment selected, emphasizing the medical history. Therefore, a clinical evaluation of the patient is necessary, requiring detailed patient data. Published studies indicate the use of laser therapy as a good alternative in the wound healing process. Evidence from new publications is extremely relevant on the topic, as are computerized protocols, as they reinforce treatment application with greater safety in the use of the chosen method.
