This paper presents a case report on the effectiveness of homeopathy in treating food poisoning in a 10-year-old female SRD dog. This was caused by the ingestion of pastry filling containing meat and various condiments. Food poisoning is recurrent in dogs and can result in severe symptoms including vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration and can lead to death. The homeopathic approach was chosen based on the premise that homeopathic medicine can restore the body as a whole. The homeopathic medicine used was Mercurius Solubilis. Treatment began immediately after the home consultation, with appropriate doses of the medicine, following the instructions of the homeopathic veterinarian. The treatment produced a rapid positive response, with the dog showing significant improvement within 2 hours. No adverse effects were observed during the treatment, which reinforces the effectiveness of using homeopathy. Complete recovery was monitored over the following days, demonstrating the ability of Mercurius Solubilis to resolve food poisoning. This case report highlights the importance and effectiveness of homeopathy as a viable therapeutic alternative in cases of food poisoning in animals.
