This article addresses the need to evaluate the suitability of the school uniform used in the Military Police Colleges of Paraná (CPM), especially in units located in regions with significantly warmer climates than Curitiba, the city where the standardized model was originally designed. The main objective was to investigate whether the current uniform meets the thermal conditions of interior municipalities and to propose more comfortable alternatives for the students. To this end, historical temperature data from seven Paraná cities with CPM units were analyzed, revealing considerable thermal variations among them. A comparison was also made with the adapted uniform used in the Military Police Summer Operation, demonstrating the feasibility of adjusting institutional attire according to climate. Additionally, examples of uniforms from other schools in hot regions were presented, highlighting practical solutions already in use. The results showed that the current uniform, designed for Curitiba’s mild climate, does not adequately serve other regions, negatively affecting students’ well-being and performance in hotter areas. It is concluded that a revision of the CPM uniform policy is necessary, with the development of alternative summer models that respect regional climatic characteristics without compromising institutional identity and discipline.
