This study reported endodontic retreatment of a mandibular molar with Sollas Reciprocating files. A 42-year-old female patient was referred to an endodontic specialist for retreatment of tooth 37. Clinically, she was asymptomatic, and the periapical radiographic examination showed radiopaque material similar to gutta percha and inadequate canal obturation (under-obturation of the root canal, in addition to a radiolucent image present in the apical region of the tooth. The root canal was unobturated with a Solla Files Collors #R25 Reciprocating file, with small advancements and retreats, and brushing against the walls of the root canal for better cleaning and removal of the obturating material. Next, electro-odontometry was performed with the Root ZX apex locator, determining the real length of the tooth. Foraminal patency was performed with files #16.02 and the canal was reprepared with a Solla Files Collors #R40 Reciprocating File, in the mesial and lateral canals. #R50 in the distal canal, determining an enlargement and modeling appropriate to the canal anatomy. It was concluded that the Solla Files Collors files were effective in the retreatment and modeling of the root canals.
