Abstract

This study analyzes the importance of the polio vaccine in public health and investigates strategies to promote its adherence. Adopting a mixed approach, the study combines a literature review and analysis of epidemiological data to understand the impacts of vaccination and the barriers to its implementation. The research used scientific articles, epidemiological reports, and official documents from health organizations. The analysis included both qualitative and quantitative aspects, focusing on vaccine efficacy, immunization campaigns, and communication strategies to increase adherence. The research also considered challenges such as resistance to vaccination, lack of access in remote areas, and the impact of political conflicts. Throughout the study, significant advances in vaccination campaigns are discussed, as well as recommendations for overcoming remaining difficulties, with the aim of ensuring a polio-free future.
