This paper aims to analyze the representations of the characters Raquel Acioli and Maria de Fátima from the telenovela "Vale Tudo" (2025), considering the dialogue with discussions of Black feminism on controlling images (Collins, 1990). The discussion establishes the relationship between the ways these Black women are represented in the telenovela and the stereotypes associated with this group. The intention is to raise the debate about the relevance of telenovelas in addressing social issues and about the socially constructed imagery of Black women.
