Oral mucositis is an inflammatory and ulcerative process of the oral mucosa, considered one of the most frequent complications in pediatric patients undergoing cancer treatments. This study aimed to synthesize and analyze the most recent scientific evidence related to management protocols for oral mucositis in pediatrics. It consists of a narrative literature review, conducted in the PubMed database and scientific repositories. The results demonstrated that physical, phytotherapeutic, and pharmacological interventions were able to reduce severe lesions, control pain, inflammation, and healing time. These findings point to effective protocols that allow for the management of mucositis in different clinical contexts and resource availability. It is inferred that the solutions presented demonstrate promising results in the management of the condition in pediatric cancer patients.
