FUNCTIONAL AND AESTHETIC REHABILITATION WITH FIXED BIMAXILLARY TOTAL PROSTHESES: CASE REPORT

Complete edentulism is characterized by the total loss of natural teeth, impacting esthetics, function, and quality of life, particularly among elderly individuals. The absence of teeth compromises mastication, speech, and swallowing, in addition to causing facial alterations and bone resorption. To reverse and minimize these impairments, dental implants and implant-supported prostheses have proven effective by providing greater stability and a more natural appearance. In this context, the aim of this study is to present a clinical case of a female patient who underwent rehabilitation with a fixed full-arch implant-supported prosthesis in both the maxilla and mandible. The placement of the prostheses resulted in improved stability, comfort, and occlusal balance in both arches, meeting the patient's expectations. Therefore, it was concluded that the installation of maxillary and mandibular full-arch fixed prostheses (protocol-type) on implants promoted excellent esthetic and functional outcomes, restoring quality of life and patient satisfaction.
