KNOWLEDGE ABOUT HUMANIZATION IN NEONATAL ICU FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM OF A UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

Objective: To analyze knowledge about humanization in healthcare among professionals in the multidisciplinary team of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Hospital de Clínicas do Triângulo Mineiro and its correlation with sociodemographic and occupational variables. Method: Quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional research conducted between February and November 2024 using the Humanization Scale and a sociodemographic questionnaire. Data were statistically analyzed using Jamovi® software and presented in tables and graphs with absolute frequencies. The Student's t-test for independent samples was used to determine associations between variables, the scale, and comparisons. Results: Forty-two professionals participated, with nursing obtaining the highest score on the Humanization Scale, and a relationship was observed between double shifts and higher scores on the scale. Conclusions: The National Humanization Policy is relevant to the quality of care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, thus enabling the development of more humane, effective, and comprehensive care for newborns.
