Pain management in oncologic patients receiving palliative care is essential to ensure comfort and quality of life at the end of life. This article reviews the main clinical and multidisciplinary approaches used in pain control, emphasizing continuous assessment, the use of pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies, and the importance of effective communication between the healthcare team, patients, and families. The integrated work of professionals from different fields promotes more comprehensive care, based on shared decision-making and respect for patient autonomy. Evidence indicates that multidisciplinary strategies and the implementation of specific clinical protocols contribute to more effective pain management, reducing suffering and improving outcomes in oncologic palliative care settings.
