Abstract

When admitting a patient after a stroke, a comprehensive clinical assessment is required. This assessment includes a thorough analysis of the patient's neurological status. This study was conducted through an integrative review, allowing for the synthesis of knowledge and the application of results to nursing care in neurological rehabilitation. This study aimed to investigate nursing's role in neurorehabilitation and post-stroke plasticity. The interventions involved are designed to train individuals to perform activities of daily living (ADLs). According to the literature, it is possible to envision the rehabilitation of post-stroke patients by nurses, with regard to basic activities of daily living.
